Next month I’m going to Calgary, Alberta, Canada, for a 2-week teaching and communications tour. Here is a brief intro into the different activities I’ll be offering.
I’ll be giving the whole 6 day, 3 levels, intensive crystal healing training. This is the first time all three levels will be given in English. I’ve taught this many times in French speaking countries and have many practitioners using these techniques with fine results. They are time tested efficient techniques based on Native American Indigenous healing arts. As I’ve studied with several Elders in this discipline, I was able to create a synthesis of their different ways that has resulted in a very safe and effective healing method that can be adapted in many ways to different therapeutic settings. Starts on the 19th of October 2023, through the 24th. Each level is 2 days and can be taken individually but the previous levels are compulsory for the 2 and 3rd level.
I’ll be giving an introduction into a North American Indigenous understanding and tradition of the shamanic drum to a drumming circle that meets every week in Calgary. Essentially our way is in connecting with the heartbeat of Mother Earth and traveling on that fundamental wave with the security and foundation that gives us. On the 13th of octobre.
I’ll be offering a 2 hour morning session on Indigenous music therapy. As a professional musician, classically trained, and having studied with several Native Elders with knowledge in traditional indigenous music therapy techniques, I can offer simple and effective ways of using music to help many therapeutic endeavors. I’ve noticed during my career, especially when I was on the receiving end of a therapeutic session, as in massage therapy, that some therapists don’t have the basics when it comes to the music they use during their work. I’ll give some tips that can be helpful and offer an experience of this therapeutic modality to the participants on the 13th of October.
On the new moon of the 14th of October 2023, on the second day of my tour, the opportunity will be given to bless the land and the people in a special ceremony and teaching on the sacred pipe. The sacred pipe, as described by many spiritual elders, is one of the most honored and powerful rituals that exist in Indigenous North America. To bless my first teaching tour in western Canada and Calgary I’ll be praying for the land and the people and giving the understanding to the participants of what this ceremony is all about: tradition, myth, proper etiquette… We’ll be around a sacred fire on that special night to reawaken our original instructions in proper relationship with the land and its ancestors. I’ll be available during my time in Calgary to meet with people interested in the many products I’ve created and exploring ways in which to offer them to the public. Destined to commercial partners in promoting healthy, ethical and authentic indigenous products to their clientele.
