PERFUME, MUSIC AND BOOKS FOR AN ENLIGHTENED AND HEALTHY HUMANITY
I want to return to an article already written that briefly mentions the most powerful attitudes for creating beneficial energies and favorable circumstances in your lives.
It matters not whether you have time to meditate or the inclination for a regular spiritual practice. If you take to heart the integration of these simple thoughts into your daily life, you will avoid many problems and create happy tomorrows.
Here is the master of the elements — the space in which the other elements develop and interweave to form all that exists. I give it the name Sacred Sound, for it is sound that is light that creates the totality of all.
The Water Element
As I sit down to write about the water element, I read what I wrote last week on this subject. What struck me was the sheer magnitude of the subject and the utter inadequacy of words to truly portray what the elements are. Admitting my limitations is important to me at the beginning of this week’s article. Such an important subject should warrant a far better portrayal of their importance. That is why in today’s literature there are several very important books written on water. All I can do here — and it is the objective I set for this series — is to give some hints of how they can be used for healing.
All great traditional medicines (as opposed to conventional, interventionist and chemical approaches) have a theory of the five elements that forms part of their methods of assessment and care. In fact, this goes much further than that.
In the worldview of the First Peoples of the Americas, this world is a school. We are on a journey toward ever more grandiose and subtle manifestations of the One Light. This light is impossible to define with words, but reveals itself to us constantly through the world.
We have been doing hard work at Invocation. Our beautiful sacred fragrances are in demand in several countries, but the administrative requirements are complicated and a lot of work. Fortunately, the crowdfunding campaign was a success. It came at just the right moment for us to continue.
There was an interesting question from a reader last week in a comment on my weekend article. Did the First Nations of the Americas have, like the Tibetans, spiritual tools to purify karma?
We are living through a rather painful moment in the history of humanity and the planet. Nothing new, however — this kind of devious ways has occurred several times before. Our history, which is very ancient, speaks of four different worlds. We are just past the end of the 5th world¹, thus its description has not yet entered the oral history. The transition is very chaotic and very painful for humanity, the natural species and Mother Earth.
In the Indigenous tradition I have practised over the years—celebrating unity with the forces and spirits of nature, places, and the elements—the cyclical rituals of the equinoxes and solstices are performed on the nearest New Moon or Full Moon. In this way, the celestial body closest to Earth also helps to support and amplify our prayers.
This year, the full moon falls on Monday. To make it easier for the community to participate, we will perform our rites this weekend. You will, therefore, receive my weekly article this Friday.
The Great Spirit, the Great Mystery, Allah, Yahweh, Buddha-mind, Ateshnahena, Gitche Manito, God — in every people of the world there is this concept, reality, belief and/or dogma.
But does He/She/It truly exist?
