AUSPICIOUS DAY – NEW CYCLE IN HARMONY

Dear readers,

I’d like to take advantage of this blessed day, when the new moon falls on the same day as the autumn equinox, to wish you an autumn season filled with beneficial conditions favourable to your spiritual journey and your abundance.

Autumn is the season of abundance. The ripening of fruit and vegetables, the harvest, preparations for winter, the joy of mutual aid shared by all farming and natural communities, journeys to hunting grounds for the aboriginal communities of the north – in short, a season filled with abundance and transformation. It’s also a season of balance. Day and night are of equal length on this day. It’s important to cultivate equanimity at all times. If you’re too happy, you lose energy. If you’re too sad, you lose energy. It’s always a good idea to keep a cool head, warm feet and an enlightened vision of the fact that everything is constantly changing.

Traditionally, the cyclical ceremonies of the autumn equinox are the longest of the year, sometimes lasting more than 2 weeks. Not only are there departures, lots of preparations, the harvest or several harvests to contribute to, but the offerings and supplications to thank for the abundance are also very important. They prepare for the harsh winter season.

Thus, on this day, I suggest you pray to thank nature for its abundance. Prayer and offerings are how we, as humans, contribute to the balance of the environment. We must never forget that everything is alive. The wind, the rain, the snow, the soil, the sun, the fires and the space in which the earth orbits are all alive! So are all our relations in the mineral, plant and animal kingdoms. Not to mention the invisible etheric entities that help nature. Not to give thanks, not to celebrate these pivotal moments of transformation in our ecosystems, bears witness to a loss of reality. We can no longer see the world around us, and chaos is beginning to manifest itself in the elements. Flora and fauna are dying out and our environments are losing their vitality and their ability to nourish us adequately. We need to return to cyclical, communal celebrations, whether we’re in the country or the city. We need to say thank you to the universe! For therein lies our participation in the gigantic work of creating worlds. Starting with our own.

Happy and serene equinox to you all!

Blue
