The first element in this series is Earth. Within us, the most representative of this element is our bones. On our planet, its most evolved expression is found in crystals and precious stones of all kinds. This represents the fundamental element of manifestation — our physical presence in a material world. Our body, so precious, manifests through this element, which draws upon the other elements to offer a form for our exploration of the physical world.
It is important to understand that every manifestation contains all the elements. Even in the sea there is the presence of fire — think of the phosphorescence of thousands of life forms in the ocean, and the reflections of the sun and moon on the waves. What interests us in this series is above all how we can use the elements for healing and health. Ultimately, in our evolution, we will come to understand that the elements are the primordial teachers of reality and offer us directly the keys to liberation and illumination. But this realization opens only to very advanced practitioners. Our series focuses on the foundations of our evolution: how to manifest optimal health in order to evolve as swiftly as possible.
The densest element is also the one that offers us the most powerful healing methods for our body.
- Clay. The foundation of all life is found in clay. Many creation myths recount that the Creator fashioned a small clay figure and then breathed life into it, giving rise to the first humans. This description is representative of the immense role this primordial earth element plays within nature.
Clay should be part of every family’s natural medicine cabinet. It can be used both externally, in the form of poultices and other preparations such as talc, and internally. I use it internally every day, as it allows us to detoxify in a polluted world while also supporting healing. Clay particles have the property of capturing pollution particles and eliminating them through the stool. Moreover, clay carries the fundamental instruction of nature, informing the body’s cells of the form they must manifest for maximum efficiency. One example recounted in several books on the subject notes that a wound treated with clay poultices will heal without leaving scars. There are many small volumes on the subject of clay in healing. Any family seeking simple and highly effective methods for treating a wide range of health problems would do well to acquire one of these books and a bag of clay.
- Plants. The vast majority of all forms in the plant kingdom have their roots in the earth. Herbalism and nutrition draw from the infinite resources of the plant kingdom to provide the nourishment and care we need daily. Knowing plants — wild species as much as cultivated ones — is part of what we should offer our families. Having a garden, in the understanding of what we are as human beings on this earth, is nearly essential! In former times, every family had a garden. All the indigenous peoples of the earth have a deep knowledge of the plant kingdom, which is why they have harmonious bodies, robust health and long lives. Traditional peasant culture is of immense richness, yet it is being lost to a society plugged into technology. The result is a sharp rise in the births of children with deformities, ever-increasing illness, and the physical deterioration of bodies visible everywhere in the great cities of the world.
- Foundational energetics. Electromagnetic pollution is a major cause of all manner of illness — not only for humans but for all species. It is very well documented that many insect species essential for pollination, such as bees — without which plant species have no means of fertilizing themselves — are profoundly impacted by the waves emitted by our technologies. The number of people suffering from electromagnetic hypersensitivity, with all the distress this causes, is also on the rise. One of the simplest ways to avoid the accumulation of harmful frequencies in the body is to place bare feet on the ground in the morning dew. Within seconds, grounding allows all these accumulated harmful waves to leave our organism.
- Emotional security. It is no accident that the indigenous peoples of our planet call her Mother Earth. It is important to understand that the planet is a magnificent being with a beautiful consciousness — highly evolved and remarkable in her manifestation of the mission the Creator has entrusted to her. Her role is to give life to innumerable beings so that they may have a world in which to evolve and grow in awareness and spirit. Her gifts are countless. To have an intimate relationship with her is so consequential, important, fundamental, nourishing, grounding, and securing — and so much more. Coming from a culture that communicates with the earth in our prayers and ceremonies, I can affirm that on the emotional level this relationship is healing, restorative, and comforts us like a balm upon the heart. One must learn to open to her. She then envelops us in her motherly goodness and heals us of all our sorrows and struggles.
- Mental alignment with reality. Nothing can replace the clarity and soundness of a mind that takes nature as its point of reference for what is true. There is no deception in nature. This is why, in our nations, the boy becoming a man withdraws — with the guidance and preparation of the elders — for several days into nature, alone, to question his spirit and understand who he is. The boy then becomes a true man. This maturity of a real man has nearly completely disappeared from the societies I have witnessed in many countries.
The earth. I encourage you to meditate and commune with her. I feel I have barely scratched the surface of what there is to say on this subject. For those who wish to deepen this connection in their daily lives, one tool may accompany you: the Sacred Essence of Invocation Canada — Aschiiy-Earth.
