PERFUME, MUSIC AND BOOKS FOR AN ENLIGHTENED AND HEALTHY HUMANITY
It’s easier and more powerful to meditate and pray when you can create sacred space in your home. To follow up on my article on spiritual practice last week, I will offer a time-honored way of creating a spiritual light giving altar in your home. It’s the one practice all my students have implemented in their lives, the one most important teaching they all thank me for. Thus, an excellent transmission to share with you all today.
To be true. To be yourself. Not putting on a mask to meet social conventions and dictates. Being able to escape norms to affirm the truth. Having the courage that gives us people like Julien Assange and his work in Wikileaks, Nelson Mandela and the liberation of the people of South Africa, Jesus Christ and the redemption of his followers.
It’s summer! The garden and forest love this hot, humid weather. The plant growth is visible day by day. I’ve beautiful and abundant wild flowers growing everywhere on my small family domain. They’ve come uninvited, yet their beauty is welcome.
Today is the vernal equinox. Day will equal night on this day. It’s time to practice equanimity, balance on all levels. One of the rites that forms part of the spring equinox ceremonies in our little community is that of forgiveness.
We are in the canadian winter. The day is peaceful and we can feel below the sleepiness of nature the vibrant life force that is being restored. How can we describe the peace, the calm, the serenity that inhabits us when we are in connection with our original instructions?
The Creator, the Great Spirit, the Primordial Intelligence who creates and organises the universe speaks to us. He is in constant communication with us. His language is the one of creation. He speaks neither in French nor in English nor in Innu-Aïmun. It is through the world he created for us that he speaks to us. He is within us, as the most intimate, the actual essence of who we are. It’s that part of us that can understand the messages as they are embedded in the landscapes of the world.
This communication today comes from a desire to reassure and encourage those who are on the beauty way. The process of spiritual evolution that is the raison d’être of our incarnation on this beautiful planet is an enormous challenge.
In the Native American cultural and spiritual diaspora across the Great Turtle Island continent one aspect of human development remains a constant. Finding one’s mission in life.
KARMA, LIBERATION and DEATH
The definition of karma is the one that describes the law of cause and effect. All religions and spiritual organizations speak of this. In the West it appears in the parable that says that you reap what you sow, either the good seed or the bad seed. Asian religions give a lot of importance to the law of karma and that is why Asians are generally more respectful than the West of family and social conventions. Indeed, understanding the law of cause and effect predisposes to a more just, moral and ethical behavior. The golden rule of doing and giving to one’s neighbor as we would like to be treated and as we would like to receive is the perfect illustration of this principle.
Shamanism is universal. Some people today call themselves shamans, but don’t really understand shamanism and use this word to describe the gifts they have.
