In this day and age, when the values and the spiritual, moral and ethical standards of the general population — and especially of the elites in Western and Atlanticist countries — have deteriorated appallingly, it is difficult to gauge how one ought to behave and live a wholesome life.
– Reflections on the world
THE FALL OF EMPIRES
Arnold J. Toynbee’s (1889-1975) masterful work, “A Study of History,” published in 12 volumes between 1934 and 1961, recounts the emergence of the first and subsequent civilisations. Each of them eventually fell, overwhelmed by the weight of its own excesses or conquered by more primitive societies, such as the grandiose conquest of more than half of the known world by the horsemen of the Mongol Genghis Khan.
HOW A CIVILIZATION FALLS
I have just read about this fantastic study that was done on mice and the empirical results that confirm the thesis that was expounded in my book THE PHILOSOPHY OF NATURE. In substance my vision is that the more we rely on technology, the more tools do the work for us and isolate us from nature and its ways, the more we deteriorate, degrade and degenerate.
WINTER’S WISDOM

Dear Readers,
As winter arrives in my beautiful country, I’ve been reflecting on how these shorter days of the snow and ice season lead to introspection and connection with the soul.
THE RETURN TO WISDOM AND THE RITES OF PASSAGE

Autumn rains down on the land, and squash, Jerusalem artichokes and other vegetables are harvested on my domain and stored for the long winter months. The beauty of the thousand flamboyant colors of autumn leaves in Quebec makes the landscape brilliant, and it’s impossible to ignore that winter is on its way.
LOVING KINDNESS
We always harvest the seeds we have sown into the world, in other people, family and even animals. What we need the most, what this world needs more than anything else, is loving kindness!
THE TRUTH
In my reflections this week, inspired by some reading on traditional Tibetan Buddhist medicine, it occurred to me that if we could work in concert with official medicine and traditional medicine, we would achieve far more effective results than we’re currently seeing. And at a much lower cost!
RESPONSABILITY
I’ve always felt responsible based on my understanding of the world. I found a similar phrase in the Cherokee Code of Good Conduct, whose spirituality forms my basic practice. It says, “If you see something that needs to be done, do it”. What’s implied here is doing it now, not waiting until tomorrow for what can be done today.
THE NEW EARTH
As the old world crumbles under pollution, war, repression, persecution, disease, chaos and inexorably self-destructs, the new earth quietly and serenely emerges from everywhere.
My thoughts today turn to love. A topic in which I have very little expertise, except on the universal and unconditional level of my work as a spiritual healer.
