OUR BODY OF LIGHT

Inside every human being is an instinctive knowledge of what is good and beneficial. We know in our guts what is right and what is wrong. But—and this is the challenge of the human condition—the appetites of our physical bodies, the fluctuations of our emotions and the aberrations of our mental conceptions are often at odds with these moral and ethical intuitions that form the basis of our spiritual being.

The evolutionary work of every being on the path to enlightenment consists in giving the spiritual body primacy in the choice of thoughts, words and actions we choose to produce in the sphere of earthly manifestation. We chose to incarnate on this planet as part of our journey towards immortality in form. Indeed, at the end of our journey in the physical universes, we will reach a state of excellence where there is no longer any contradiction between our spiritual will and the manifestation of our thoughts, words and actions in the world. Then, the soul will be able to manifest its splendor, which is similar to that of the Creator, whom I have chosen to identify in my book THE PHILOSOPHY OF NATURE as the Primordial Intelligence, or depending on your beliefs, God, Allah, Buddha, etc.

When all our bodies are united with the divine will of spiritual evolution of our soul, what some spiritual disciplines call enlightenment, liberation or ascension, we will be light. There are historical examples of this in almost every major spiritual tradition on the planet. The Immortals of China, the supreme Immortal Gurus of India, the Bodhisattvas of the Tibetan tradition, who upon their ascension leave behind no remains other than the dead parts, i.e. hair and nails. Closer to the Western world is Jesus Christ, who after his death appeared many times to his loved ones and disciples in a form that was very luminous but still physical, since they could put their fingers where the nails had pierced his flesh. In America, there are natives who are well sheltered from Western civilization, that are over 800 years old. Their entire environment vibrates with a unique and vital light, and the animals and plants in their vicinity display extraordinary health and vitality. This is one of the stages in our evolution: conquering a state of being where death no longer exists. It doesn’t stop there, of course; it’s just one stage in an existence that has no end.

So, in our First Peoples traditions of the Great Turtle Island (North America), we meditate on the body of light. To see ourselves as light, that our true being is in fact light. One day, science will be able to confirm it: we are made of light. But on our journey, we must learn, like any child, to respect the good, the right, the true, the just, true love, compassion, self-sacrifice, to do unto others as we would have them do unto us. To see ourselves not as individuals, but as atoms of a celestial body vibrating in unity with the will to create ever-expanding universes.

Words at this stage are too small, so I leave you to take the rest into your sacred space and meditations.

Joy, Love, Peace and Light to one and all.
