One of my main preoccupations since childhood has been to understand and manifest holistic health. My research has abundantly illustrated the importance of including all the bodies of the being in this approach: the physical body, the emotional body, the mental body and the spiritual body. Today, I’d like to talk about the physical body and the essential motivation that enables us to take good care of it.
Health isn’t complicated and doesn’t require a university course to maintain. Each and every one of us can easily understand the basic principles of health and apply them to our daily lives. If we assume that Primordial Intelligence (Great Spirit) is benevolent towards us, common sense will tell us that health is surely something simple and natural. You’ll see, as you read the following principles, that they’re obvious and that, in fact, you already knew that.
1st basic principle: water.
It’s an essential key to health, since water makes up over 80% of our bodies. It helps keep our cells clean and working properly. You need to drink enough pure water. You may think it’s easy, but it’s actually quite complicated. Tap water is not pure! It may be sterilized and lifeless, but it’s highly polluted. It travels for miles through metal and plastic pipes that accumulate various pollutants. The chemicals added to sterilize it, including the poisonous fluoride, are disastrous for our health. Plastic bottled water contains thousands of microplastics, which accumulate in the body as foreign matter that our bodies have not learned to eliminate. Various technologies, including chemtrails, have deliberately polluted the planet’s waters with heavy metals. All the planet’s waters are affected. Plastics and pharmaceuticals have infiltrated every layer of the planet’s water. This must be remedied first, as water is the key to purification and the proper functioning of the body.
Today, the best water is distilled water. Another method for purifying water is a reverse osmosis filter system. There are also various activated carbon systems and other methods. There are so many of them. I’ve mostly used distillation, which I’ve abandoned because it takes too much time and electricity, but it’s excellent water. Water purified by a reverse osmosis system is also very pure. At present, since I have good well water on my small domain, I purify only with activated carbon, but all the water in the house is purified in this way. This method makes the skin very soft. Water purified in this way by these two methods, distillation and reverse osmosis, is so pure that it has no life left in it. We can then reenergize, restructure and activate it, a process for which there are several methods. Anastasia‘s method, which requires nothing more than wide-mouth jars, is as follows: fill such a jar with purified water, place it for three hours in the sun, then three hours in the shade. The natural bacteria will then return to the water, bringing it back to life. Fractal vases that respect the golden ratio are great. I use them constantly. Adding trace minerals to water with products such as CellFood can also help a lot by bringing it back to life. Minerals that the planet’s waters naturally have, but which purification methods remove as they purify the water of contaminants, chemicals and toxins, are thus reintroduced.
You also need to drink enough. Generally speaking, you need between one and two liters of pure water a day (depending on your weight) to keep your body sufficiently hydrated. You shouldn’t drink after meals, to avoid diluting the digestive juices, which have plenty of work to do. Juices, herbal teas, teas and coffees are not a source of water. The elements they contain require water to be digested, so they don’t count towards the amount of water needed for adequate hydration. Coffee, for example, greatly dehydrates and acidifies the body. A single, organic coffee, in small quantities, either French press or espresso, freshly ground and roasted within the last 5 days, taken in the morning, followed by a glass of lemon water to restore the pH, has therapeutic virtues. It’s best to drink our water at close to body temperature, in small sips, to derive maximum benefit. Holding the water in the mouth for a few seconds is enough to bring it to the right temperature. I sleep with my water bottle, so that when I get up in the morning, I can ingest 750 ml of water before getting out of bed. This is very useful for promoting good transit and getting the day off to a good start with hydration at the right temperature.
2nd principle :
Food! Hippocrates, reputed to be the father of modern medicine, said: “Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food. The first foundation of health is what we ingest. The closer we are to nature, the healthier we will be. My views on this subject have varied greatly over the years. I studied with the Institute of Hippocratic Health (ISH) in Florida for two 21-day sessions. This raw vegan approach based on wheatgrass juice, green juices, sprouts and germinations is really excellent for purifying and cleansing the body. Poisoning, the presence of heavy metals, chemicals and food additives in the body, is the leading cause of disease. This has been abundantly documented.
The ISH explains that of the 19 million species of life on planet Earth, only one believes in cooking its food. Cooking considerably reduces the content of vitamins, organic minerals and enzymes. Vitamins are destroyed, minerals become inorganic and the enzymes needed for digestion, because they are alive, are killed by cooking. This can easily be corrected by eating lacto-fermented vegetables and raw vegetables before a cooked meal. Over the long term, a vegan diet, even with an abundance of sprouts and germinations, leads to deficiencies. That’s why ISH uses a lot of vitamin and mineral supplements in its health program.
I’ve since found Sally Fallon’s excellent NUTRITIONAL TRADITIONS study and cookbook. This approach is based on the food traditions of the healthiest peoples on the planet. She demonstrates with numerous examples and references that the modern diet is deeply flawed. Good old-fashioned cooking methods are all-important. Mankind has not handed down unproven traditions for millennia. They are passed to future generations because they keep the people healthy with good teeth. She also points out that the only people who are traditionally 100% vegan, a tribe in southern India, have the shortest life expectancy on the planet.
Fasting should also be mentioned. Abstaining from food to heal oneself is a universal practice. I’ve used it many times to cure flu, bronchitis, covid and other health problems, with perfect results. The ISH program is also very good for those who can afford a stay there. You also need to eat for nourishment, not for indulgence. It’s perfectly legitimate to prepare food for the pleasure of eating it, but the primary motivation and function must be to meet our body’s nutritional needs. Rewarding ourselves or compensating for our emotional deficiencies can only be detrimental to our health. We need to keep the right balance in everything, and meet our emotional needs through our relationships.
In broad terms, Nutritional Traditions advocates a diversified, organic diet, with enough of the good fats and oils that are essential for making available the vitamins and minerals that are necessary for good health. Bone broths, raw animal proteins on occasion, precise management of grains and starches that need to soak for a long time (12, 24 or even 48 hours) before being prepared, the importance of lacto-fermentations and fermentation in general, and many other secrets that come from our ancestors are honored with an abundance of beautiful recipes. This is a large, well-documented volume. Of course, this book also highlights the extreme harmfulness of refined foods, inappropriate vegetable oils[1], sugar, alcohol, chemical additives, colorings, non-organic foods, GMOs, pasteurized dairy products, etc. All things we instinctively understand to be problematic, but which the propaganda of the modern world, the food corporations/industry, the regulations of degenerate Western states and the religiosity of today’s hierarchical sciences have managed to promote, to the detriment of common sense.
Only organic products can protect us from the harmful effects of pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers. They are also the only guarantee that you are not putting genetically modified organisms on your plate. Human beings are playing the sorcerer’s apprentice with no concern for the long term effects of ingesting genetically modified foods, but only for the financial benefits they bring.
If we understand the principle that the physical body comes from the earth and is strengthened by natural elements, we will find it logical that the basic diet of the human being must be composed of organic foods.
There are many particularities here, of course. Let’s just mention sprouts, which have incredible nutritional potential and are easy enough to grow at home. It’s also important to avoid eating too much fruit and always eat them on an empty stomach, especially in the morning, as it contains a lot of sugars and can interfere with the digestion of other foods. In short, there are many details in this area that are beyond the scope of this article. My aim here is to clearly define the basic principles of health, and diet is one of them. The closer we are to ancient traditions and nature, the more our health will benefit.
3rd Principle :
Clean air. Likewise, the air in our homes and apartment buildings is more polluted than the air outside the city center of a large metropolis, unless we have specialized equipment to purify all the pollutants. Clean air can only be found in nature. So, it’s important to open your windows, even in winter. The presence of large quantities of granite (on the mountains), large ancient trees, coniferous forests, as well as salt water (seas and oceans) and waterfalls, gives a very invigorating air. It’s healthy to walk and breathe well in such environments. Breathing nourishes us far more than any other nourishment. We can stop eating solid food for weeks, stop drinking water for days, but it’s impossible to stop breathing for more than a few minutes. Air also needs to circulate and move, so the current fashion for installing air exchangers in homes to circulate and purify the air is well thought-out. The wind and contact with it give important clues to the nature of thought and spirit. This becomes an important subject of meditation, of which breathing is one aspect, in philosophical practice to increase the clarity of perceptions of our consciousness. Breathing exercises, or at least breathing awareness and spending enough time outside in the fresh air on a daily basis, are essential to good health.
4th principle
Exercise. You need to get your body moving every day, and even try to improve your muscular and endurance capacities. Doctors will tell you: get enough exercise. The fate of poor city dwellers, forced to push a pencil or tap away at a keyboard all day behind a desk, illustrates the deficiencies of a civilized life. Obesity, heart problems and a weak immune system are just some of the countless problems caused by the lack of physical activity that characterizes a lifestyle where most daily tasks are performed by machines. It has been proven that our intelligence is directly linked to our body’s muscular level. Numerous studies have also shown that a person who gets enough exercise is more willing and cheerful. Morale is higher when the body has had sufficient opportunity to express itself through physical activities that encourage it to develop.
5th principle
Sufficient rest and sleep are essential! In nature, people naturally follow the cycles of day and night, so they always get enough sleep. They also have a very relaxed, stress-free lifestyle. It was Pierre Rabhi who said that you never see a farmer running! Today, many city-dwellers have serious sleep problems, and sales of sleeping pills and related products have exploded, much to the delight of pharmaceutical companies.
You need to sleep between 7 and 9 hours a night. Working at night or in the evening has consequences for your health. Sleep quality is also important.
Here are a few simple tips for those with sleep problems. A footbath in warm water before going to bed helps you to relax deeply. You can’t sleep with cold feet. A hot water bottle can help. Taking a valerian root tablet or herbal tea can improve sleep quality. Review your day in bed or before going to bed. Correct the day’s mistakes or problems by visualizing them. In this way, you’ll free up your nights to leave more room for your dreams, which can then better help you. Set up a little ritual to do every night that relaxes and soothes you. The important thing is to sleep well. Have a clear conscience! Your integrity and morales influence your consciousness. Avoid anger at all times. It’s better to bend like a reed in the wind and then return to the righteousness of your life ethics than to respond to verbal violence with aggressive words.
6th principle:
Sunshine! Who hasn’t felt the immense benefits of exposing their body to the warm rays of the sun? The sun is the universal source of energy that all life needs. Numerous scientific studies have shown that exposure to the sun’s rays has quite a number of beneficial effects. One of these is its effect on mood. In winter, in Nordic countries and among city-dwellers who don’t get outdoors much, sales of antidepressants and other medications to treat depression rise sharply. It would be much better to compensate for this deficiency by more natural means, as the use of these drugs amplifies the mood problems that the person will experience in the long term, and can create a dependency on medication that can then lead to numerous problems. Looking at the sun also nourishes the body, but this is only possible at sunrise and sunset, when the atmosphere attenuates the strength of the sun’s rays. You can also expose your palms to the sun. The hands, especially the palms, are energy assimilators and transmitters. We recommend welcoming the sun when it rises, and thanking it when it sets. All indigenous peoples have these practices.
7th principle
Passion! We need a deep motivation that drives us and makes us vibrate. Understanding the meaning of life and our place within the community and the universe gives us this motivation. Hence the many rites of passage performed by aboriginal peoples all over the world. Hence the need to reflect periodically, in solitude, on our life and what we want to do with it. Hence the need for psychological support, love and friendship, which flows naturally and is experienced within the family and community in a natural context. It’s always important to have good relationships at work and good friends. And of course, if you can build a beautiful family, you’ve reached the pinnacle of human expression in all its beauty.
Each of these essential principles for the health of the physical body could be the subject of an entire volume. The idea here is to understand that the physical body has an innate wisdom and intelligence. The body knows how to heal itself, and doesn’t need medical intervention to restore health when life’s circumstances have distanced it from the inherent health that is the foundation of all life. To do this work of repair and return to health, it is necessary to follow the principles detailed here and eliminate environmental toxins and pollutants. Then, the physical body will manifest the healthy attributes that will enable the other bodies to develop fully.
Don’t hesitate to ask me your questions. I’ll do my best to find the time to answer them.
Love, peace, joy and light!
